The rules we hold ourselves to

How we build software, make decisions, and earn trust. We expect to be held to these — feel free to quote them back at us.

How we build.

We're independent and funded by the people who use our software — so we answer to them, not to advertisers or investors. That single fact shapes every principle below.

The usual way

  • Feature gates and locked tiers
  • Subscription creep over time
  • Data-heavy defaults, sold onward

Our way

  • Full access for everyone
  • One fair price, held steady
  • Privacy-first, never sold

Six rules

01

Don't be annoying

No manipulative design. No dark patterns. No nagging upgrades, no cancellation maze. The software does its job and gets out of your way.

02

Charge a fair price

Core features never move behind a paywall. The price is set by what the software costs to run — one fair number, everything included.

03

Leave your data alone

We collect the minimum the app needs to work, and we never sell it. Privacy isn't a premium tier here — it's the starting condition.

04

Show the math

Our operating costs and pricing math are published for anyone to read. You can see exactly where your subscription goes, down to the hosting bill.

05

Stick around

Subscriptions are our only revenue, so staying useful is our only strategy. We build to last.

06

Take care of it

The goal is to take good care of the software — and of the people who trust it with their schedules, their money, and their records.
